How do you remove sparkles/glitter (the craft kind) from child's hair/scalp?

I've tried washing, brushing, combing and even tape, and it won't come out! :S It looks like it was either dumped or poured in there, so it's not just a few specks.

Thanks! :)

This happened to my daughter, it just had to wear off. I tried using a huge amount of conditioner as a last ditch effort because I figured the slickness would help. It was the only thing that got most of the glitter out.

OH...I just thought of something....try a lice comb!!! You can get it at Walgreens

It will take time, weeks probably. Constant washing and using a fine toothed comb.

sit them down take a comb and gently scrape the scalp using small sections its gonna be a pain then use a bore brissle brush and brush the hair then use a clarifying shampoo perell works wonders but dont use it on the hair too much it removes color and dries out hair...if that doesnt work i dont know what ....probably use a condtitioner leave it in a few mins to balance out the perell
