Getting a second perm?

This weekend, I'm going to get my hair permed for the second time. I got a lot of breakage in my hair from the perm last time. I think it must be from the way I combed my hair? I used a wide-tooth pick, like I was told, but I still ended up with tons of split ends. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid that this time?

Also, everytime I combed my hair, it would end up being really straight until I washed my hair again. How do I comb my hair without ruining the perm?

Thanks a lot!

Getting a second perm?

comb your hair when it is wet but never when it is dry even with a wide tooth comb.what you need to do is gently put your head upside down and shake your fingers through, not running them through as this will make it look straight and frizzy.you should never comb your hair if you leave it curly when it is dried.,only i you have smoothed it.

what you should also try is scrunching some serum or frizz cream into the ends when it is wet. if it still looks a bit frizzy when it is dry put some on the ends. you need to get your hairdresser to explain to you how to manage your hair.don't be afraid to ask that is what they are there for ,to give you advice.
