How do you treat tangly and ratty hair?

I can't get my hair to stay smooth. I can brush it and then a half hour later, it looks like it hasn't been combed. It's all tangly. And my mom says "it has rats in it." -- Whatever that means!

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

How do you treat tangly and ratty hair?

I have naturally curly hair, and deal with this problem constantly. Nothing keeps mine from getting tangled, but if yours isn't curly or frizzy like mine, these things help me and would probably work great for you. Make sure to condition your hair, if you're washing it every day, try every other day, sometimes over washing can actually have a drying out affect. Use an anti-snap serum to help keep it smooth and not breaking. One of the reasons that hair seems to be unruly sometimes is from breakage and damage.

Hope this works for you, ps you can try the anti frizz serums but I haven't found one that works for me yet, but the anti snap serum is good (I use Redkens)

use conditioner

try using johnson %26amp; johnson's no more tears detangling spray. when you get out of the shower, just spray it on %26amp; you will be able to brush through your hair easily. you can even use it on dry hair in case your hair does get tangly throughout the day.

you could also try a leave in conditioner.

hope that helps.
