Some hair is really hard to curl, or the curl falls out almost immediately.

Some things you can try:

Volumizing shampoo and conditioner, a very strong hair gel, mousse. Make sure you use a light conditioner that does not weigh your hair down. Try curling it with foam rollers overnight instead of curling iron.

O.K. Three things could be happening... ONE - You have very healthy hair which is a good thing. TWO - You don't have a very good curling iron (make sure you have a ceramic one with multiple heat settings). Or THREE - You have chlorine damage which will stop your hair from curling in spots...

After you wash your hair, put a styling gel in it while it is wet. Blow dry it toward the direction the curl will be. While the iron is on your hair, spritz a little hair spray on it... Sometimes you have to dirty it up with product to get the curl to stay. You shouldn't brush it after you curl it. Just gently run your fingers through it to slightly separate the curls.

Some hair just doesnt stay, but shower before curling. Use pantene pro-v volumizing shampoo + conditioner. Blow dry your hair! When curling, but some hair spray, so that i'll stay. Then start using a comb %26amp; comb some of your hair upwards, so that it get a little stiffer %26amp; bigger. =).

Dont comb it, that will just make it frizzy. Use a pick if you have to seperate otherwise avoid messing with it
