Severe hairfall at 15......... PLEASE HELP!!!?

I tried asking at sunsilkgangofgirls.com but the particular site won't open. my relative is just 15. She has very thin but a bit curly hair. And she is suffering from severe hair loss. Once she combs her hair a lot of hair strands break off. She is totally worried. and this worries me. She uses only shampoo (head and shoulders --anti dandruff shampoo) on Sundays and then she puts oil in the evening. If u find any info. or know any hair specialist please try to find the solution to this problem. Its urgent.

I doubt the shampoo is doing anything, but what is this oil she's using? Herbal stuff can be dangerous and have as many side-effects as chemicals.

It could be a vitamin deficiency or she could be starving herself through some ill-conceived diet. As far as medical conditions... there are too many, and no one on the Internet can help you diagnose that.

Get her to a doctor. Sudden hair loss is a signal that something is very wrong with the body.

I suggest she see a dermatologist. I was taking some birth control pills once that were making my hair fall out and I didn't know that until after my dad took me to a dermatologist. It could be some other hormonal things as well so a visit to your regular doctor I suggest be the first thing that you do.

i was having that same problem for a while, severe hair loss is usually due to added stress anything she can do to bring down her stress level should help she can also try switching to a thickening shampo (i used vive) or looking for a product that strengthens hair

i've an excellent solution!!!! see when u wash your hair keep ur head upwards don't keep ur head downwards i also had the same problem but when i learned this solution n when i tried this it worked wonderfully it is due to gravity that when we wash our hair with head downwards the earth's gravity attract them that is d main cause 4 hair fall.

You must definetly go to a dermatologist and do a blood test it might be caused from sickness,stress,chemical damage (ex hair coloring),medicines,puberty,lacking of nutritions such as vitamins,irons and more.Tell her to use a mild shampoo for her hair ...and pls go to the doctor to check since it's so serious!!

head and shoulder is a strong shampoo i would use a baby shampoo. Also hair growth has stages of grown and it could just be that hair is going thought the loss stage and will come back in time. if it is that bad i would go and see a GP.
